When you're in collage and you have a paper due you might need to e-mail it to your teacher. 

If you have a job and the company needs you to send some forms and files to your boss or something it's going to require you to know how to attach files and send e-mail.

If you don't know how to send e-mail you should expect to have some difficulties.

You should know how to attach files and send e-mail so that in the future you won't have trouble in school or in work.

It's very important to learn those skills, if you don't you'll be very behind.
